The NBA is edging towards what will likely be another incredibly exciting conclusion to the biggest basketball competition in the world.
With the end in sight, bookmaker Pinnacle have made the Boston Celtics the favourites to win the competition at 2.84, but are they the side to back this season?
| NBA Winner | Odds |
|---|---|
| Boston Celtics | 2.84 |
| Denver Nuggets | 4.08 |
| LA Clippers | 8.44 |
| Milwaukee Bucks | 9.03 |
| Phoenix Suns | 19.69 |
| Oklahoma City Thunder | 21.26 |
| Minnesota Timberwolves | 22.12 |
| Dallas Mavericks | 25.06 |
| Rest of the field | 31.45 |
With the season nearing its conclusion, the Boston Celtics have been made the favourites at 2.84 with Pinnacle after an excellent campaign so far. While they are at the head of the betting, they are hardly overwhelming favourites, with a number of teams right behind them.
The Denver Nuggets are next in line at 4.08, while the LA Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks are both available below 10.00.
The betting then really begins to jump following the top-four, with the Phoenix Suns the next most likely side to win the competition at 19.69.
While no side has been able to stay in single figures with regard to defeats, the Celtics boast the least defeats with 16. This simply shows how competitive the competition has been once again, with any team able to beat any other side on their day.
The focus for the top sides will now be on ensuring their players head into the latter-stages of the competition injury free and in good form.
The Denver Nuggets remain a side that have attracted a lot of attention this season. Last year, the Nuggets triumphed in the competition and immediately put a target on their back this term. While they are still very much in the conversation when it comes to winning the tournament, can they deal with the pressure of trying to go back to back?
Which side do you think will win the competition in 2024? Can the Boston Celtics come good on their tag as the favourites, or will another side secure a stunning triumph this term?
