Champions League Predictions For March 7 & 8

Borussia Dortmund picked up an important 1-0 win in Germany in the first-leg, meaning they arrive in London with something to protect. The Bundesliga outfit have looked good in their games in the league this year, but they will face a real challenge from a Chelsea team that is desperate to win this week. 

Graham Potter's Chelsea have struggled for wins and goals of late, with their 1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the first-leg a reality check in Europe. Now, the Blues need to find a way to breach the Dortmund goal or they will be knocked out. A 1-0 win over Leeds at the weekend was hardly the floodgates opening, but it at least means they come into this one on the back of a win. 

Benfica bossed the first-leg between the pair as they returned home with a healthy 2-0 aggregate lead. While Benfica have a long way to go if they are to really challenge in the Champions League this season, they will target another comfortable win over a travelling side that did not look good enough last week. 

Club Brugge were simply not good enough in the first-leg. The game was fairly even, but they found it tough to really create any real attacks of note. With the side needing two unanswered goals to force this one into extra time, it is difficult to see where the goals will come from for a side that look destined to get eliminated at this stage. 

Bayern Munich returned to Germany with a one-goal lead that saw them keep their big-spending opponents quiet in the game. While PSG did have their moments, it was Bayern that enjoyed the better of the game. Their stars came together and put in a fine team performance that saw their big-name opposition fail to breach the visitor's goal. 

PSG have been overly-reliant on the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi in recent weeks, with the side winning games based on their ability to turn a game rather than the team playing like a cohesive unit. Mbappe looked particularly dangerous in the first-leg and he will be fancied to score in a game that could be incredibly entertaining. 

AC Milan did what they needed to do in the first-leg as they came away from their home leg with a goal and a clean sheet. They now need to find a way to stay compact at the back against a Spurs side that will fancy their chances of opening the visitors up a few times in the game.
