KBO League Predictions

Inform your KBO League predictions ahead of this week's biggest matches.

With the KBO League drawing to its conclusion there is still a lot to play for as we enter September and the end of the regular league season.

KT Wiz at Kia Tigers

KT Wiz have recorded 19 wins and 11 losses since July 22 and have risen to second place in win rate during this period, whereas it will be important for Kia Tigers to maintain their  current fifth-place.

KT Wiz's key player, Byung-ho Park, is currently the only player with more than 30 home runs. He was the perfect fourth hitter, with 30 of his 32 home runs all coming in decisive moments for his side, with 89 RBIs (2nd), 32 homers (1st) and 0.890 OPS (tied 5th).

The key player to the Tigers is also their fourth hitter, Socrates Brito. The Dominican has a batting average of 0.323 (5th) and an OPS of 0.890 (tied 5th), proving to be a versatile player by successfully defending and stealing bases recently.

LG Twins at Lotte Giants

The Lotte Giants beat SSG Landers 4-2 last weekend to move one step closer to the playoffs, while the LG Twins are on a good run of form, with eight wins and three losses from their last 11 games at the time of writing.

A key cog for Lotte is Ko Seung-min, who has an individual batting average of 0.284 and is the form man to look out for in this contest.

LG has been indebted to outfielder Moon Bo-gyeong, who has a batting average of 0.438 and seven hits in the last five games. He also has a batting average of 0.306 and an OPS of 0.813 during this five-game stretch.

Kiwoom Heroes at SSG Landers

Kiwoom Heroes have recorded 10 wins and 19 losses since the end of July, the lowest win rate among the 10 teams during this period.

A win this week is very important to reclaim third place but that may be easier said than done as they go up against SSG Landers, who are sitting comfortably at the top of the table.

This season, SSG Landers have already defeated Kiwoon Heroes 10 times, whilst they have only succumbed to their weekend opponent on three occasions.

Kiwoom's key player is pitcher Woo-jin Ahn, who leads the way in both strikeouts (176) and pitching WAR (6.27).  His impressive statistics continue with an ERA of 2.21 and a walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP) of 0.96, seeing him rank second in both of those areas.

SSG captain and outfielder Han Yoo-seom performed well in August which will give the home side confidence against Kiwoon. He recorded two hits in four at-bats (two home runs) on the 11th and two hits in three at-bats (one home runs) on the 18th.
