The KBO playoff line-up is still to be decided with only a handful of matches remaining. Due to heavy rain in South Korea, two matches in Suwon and Seoul were cancelled and the results of these fixtures could play a key part in determining the final league standings.

The NC Dinos’ trip to the KT Wiz and the match between the Kia Tigers and the LG Twins were the matches to be impacted by the weather. The rematch schedule for the NC Dinos and KT Wiz game has yet to be confirmed, with KIA's trip to LG taking place on October 4.

The third-placed KT Wiz are in fierce competition with the fourth-placed Kiwoom Heroes, while the sixth-placed NC Dinos are attempting to chase down the fifth-placed KIA Tigers, who currently hold the last ticket for the postseason.

Meanwhile, the SSG Landers, who are aiming for the 'Wire to Wire' championship, face the bottom-of-the-table Hanwha Eagles as the end to the regular season approaches.

Each side desperately needs victory in their bid to seal a playoff spot. The KT Wiz have recorded nine wins, one draw, and four losses in a total of 14 matches against KIA this season, whilst KT recorded a win rate of 67% when travelling to face KIA at Champions Field this season.

In a total of 15 matches against this weekend's opponents, the NC Dinos have recorded eight wins, one draw, and six losses, while they have recorded a win rate of 64% at their home stadium when welcoming the Eagles to town.

Kim Tae-yean, who can play both infield and outfield, has been in impressive form for Hanwha this season. His batting average is 0.239, while he has seven home runs, 94 hits, and 51 RBIs for the season. He also has four hits in the last five games.

Nick Martini has been the star player for the NC Dinos, as he boasts a batting average of 0.296. He also has 16 home runs, 147 hits, and 84 RBIs for the season, and has four hits in the last five games.

Kiwoom Heroes at Doosan Bears

If the Kiwoom Heroes finish third, they can get a direct ticket to the playoff semi-finals. However, out of a total of 15 games between the two sides this season, the Doosan Bears lead the way with a victory rate of 60% against the Heroes.

The Heroes have been indebted to the form of outfielder Lee Jung-hoo, who leads the batting average statistics with 0.351 and is also first for RBIs with 113. He is also tied for fifth for home runs with 23, with two of those coming in the last five games.

Doosan's hopes appear to rest with catcher Jang Seung-hyun, as he has a batting average of 0.222, 20 hits, and nine RBIs for the season. He also has four hits in the last five games.
