La Liga Predictions

Cadiz vs. Barcelona predictions

Barcelona continue to impress in La Liga following their comprehensive 3-0 win at Sevilla on Saturday evening. Summer signing Raphinha scored his first La Blaugrana goal while Robert Lewandowski added another to his tally which now stands at five in four games.

Xavi’s men have bagged 11 goals already this season and are certainly prioritising being an attacking threat going forward. Their next La Liga test comes away at Cadiz, who have started the season awfully, losing all four of their matches without scoring.

Amazingly, Cadiz are unbeaten in four matches against the Catalan giants since winning promotion back to the top flight in 2020. However, this version of Barca are looking more akin to the side that were so good during the early 2010s and they should win here comfortably.

Real Madrid vs. Mallorca predictions

Defending champions Real Madrid have started the new season in perfect fashion, winning four from four. If the new-look Barcelona team have had any effect on Los Blancos, it has been to spur them on.

They defeated Real Betis 2-1 at the weekend in what was a hard-fought contest at the Bernabeu against a side who were also heading into the weekend with a 100% record. Now, they face the challenge of Mallorca who have won one, drawn two, and lost one of their opening four matches.

Predictably though, Mallorca have a bad record at the Bernabeu. They have conceded at least four in three of their last four visits and haven’t picked up any points there since a 3-1 win in May 2009.

Real Betis vs. Villarreal predictions

Both Real Betis and Villarreal will be expecting to challenge towards the top of La Liga this season and their early form suggests they will be doing exactly that.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis lost their 100% record with defeat at Real Madrid but have otherwise looked very solid, conceding only one goal in the other three games. Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s Yellow Submarine remain unbeaten and are third in the table – the best of the rest away from the Clasico duo.

Last season, Villarreal got the better of Real Betis, winning 2-0 during both meetings as they ended the season in seventh.

Atletico Madrid vs. Celta Vigo predictions

Seventh takes on eighth at the Metropolitano as Atletico Madrid host Celta Vigo. Diego Simeone’s men still haven’t quite got going this season, winning two of their four matches and they come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad.

Celta Vigo have had a good start but one aspect of last season they must improve upon is their away form – they only managed five wins on the road all season.

They haven’t won away at Atletico in the league since 2007.
