Getafe vs. Real Madrid predictions

Real Madrid’s trip to Getafe at the weekend will see them try and bounce back from the disappointment of Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Osasuna.

France international Karim Benzema missed a penalty late on as Los Blancos were knocked off the top of the table by Barcelona, who took advantage of Madrid dropping points to climb into first place.

Madrid’s next opponents are Getafe, who sit 14th in the table with two wins from seven games – both of those coming in their last three games.

Getafe are unbeaten in their last two home matches against Madrid – drawing 0-0 in April 2021 before winning 1-0 in January 2022.

Barcelona vs. Celta Vigo predictions

Barcelona signed many players during the summer but the one that has made all the difference has been Robert Lewandowski. The Pole added yet another goal to his tally at the weekend as the Catalans secured their sixth consecutive win away at Mallorca.

Xavier Hernandez’s team look ripe for a title challenge, and they will be hoping to extend their impressive record at Camp Nou this weekend, as they are unbeaten in four home matches across all competitions this season.

Barcelona play host to Celta Vigo, who are currently 10th in La Liga after winning three of their seven games so far. Los Celestes also have a respectable recent record against Barcelona and most recently held them to a 3-3 draw last season.

Atletico Madrid vs. Girona predictions

Atletico Madrid are fifth in the table after a slightly inconsistent start in which they have failed to win back-to-back matches. However, they defeated Sevilla 2-0 last time out and confidence should be high ahead of Girona’s visit.

Girona have lost their last two matches – conceding seven goals in the process – and they have slipped to 13th in the table.

Girona have never beaten Atletico in six meetings, although five of those meetings have ended in draws.

Sevilla vs. Athletic Bilbao predictions

Julen Lopetegui is now under severe pressure as Sevilla boss after suffering yet another defeat last time out, with his side well beaten by Atletico Madrid at home.

Sevilla will be hoping to get their season going at home this weekend but they face a very tough Bilbao side, who have enjoyed an excellent start to the season. Ernesto Valverde’s men are third in the table and have lost only one of their seven games - winning each of the past three.

Sevilla did manage to do the double over Bilbao last season, winning both matches home and away 1-0.
