Predictions For The Eastern Conference All-Stars vs Western Conference All-Stars

The 72nd edition of the NBA All-Star game is almost upon us, with the event likely to bring all of the incredible thrills and excitement we have come to expect from the showpiece match.

LeBron James, who leads the Western Conference (Team LeBron) has been a key figure in the contest, winning 10 of the 18 matches he has played. This includes wins for James in the last five editions of the game, with the last four coming with the Western Conference after joining the LA Lakers in 2018.

James will be ably supported by regular season MVP contenders Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic, with James hoping to add another triumph to his list of achievements.

Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks currently boasts more points on average than any player in the NBA Western Conference with 33.3 this year. Meanwhile, Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has been able to help his team to the top of the Western Conference and is the favourite for many to claim the regular season MVP award for the third season in a row.

As for the Eastern Conference (Team Giannis), they boast two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks star will be joined by Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, who replaces injured Kevin Durant in the starting lineup.

Making his sixth All-Star appearance, Embiid is averaging 33.4 points this season, which is the most of any player in the NBA. He is amply supported by Giannis, who is top for rebounds. The clash could prov to be incredibly tight, with some truly superb players all set to battle.

I am predicting a win for the Western Conference in this one, with the power of LeBron James and his search for yet another win in the All-Star Game enough to see the team over the line.
