NFL Game of the Week: Conference Championships Tips & Preview
- NFL 2022/23 Stats, Odds and Predictions
- Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs predictions
- San Francisco 49’ers at Philadelphia Eagles predictions
With only four sides left in the NFL season and the Super Bowl mere days away, the pressure is well and truly one in the two Championship matches.
Below, we will delve into the two matches, what you can expect, and which sides are the ones to back.
Cincinnati Bengals (14-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (15-3): The Odds
| Market | Cincinnati Bengals | Kansas City Chiefs |
|---|---|---|
| Money Line | 1.892* | 2.000* |
| Handicap | -1.0 1.970* | +1.0 1.917* |
| Total Team Points | Over 23.5 1.854* | Over 22.5 1.813& |
The Chiefs had to rely on Cincinnati to beat Buffalo in the Divisional round for the former to reclaim a home match in the AFC deciding game
This is exactly what happened, but there is still cause for concern for the side. They are nervously awaiting the injury status of Patrick Mahomes after he rolled his ankle during their match with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Following an excellent team performance that was led by Chad Henne in the absence of Mahomes, the Chiefs were able to take their place in the final match before the show piece even in the NFL.
The Cincinnati Bengals were able to deal with freezing conditions in Buffalo as they took on the snow and their opponents as they setup yet another showdown with the Chiefs, with this a replay of last year's Championship match.
With a 10-game winning streak in their back pocket, the side have been able to overcome some real injury problems, and they are aiming for a fourth win in a row against their hosts.
This game will be exceptionally tight, and we are backing Cincinnati to come out on top in a razor thin 27-24 win.
San Francisco 49’ers (15-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (15-3): The Odds
| Market | San Francisco | Philadelphia Eagles |
|---|---|---|
| Money Line | 2.250* | 1.709* |
| Handicap | +2.5 1.970* | -2.5 1.917* |
| Total Team Points | Over 21.5 1.900* | Over 23.5 1.800* |
Brock Purdy's bandwagon continues to trundle on, although their opponents in the NFC Championship are about as tough as they could be.
Purdy has managed a minimum of 33 points in six of his previous seven career starts, but it was punting and field goals that got the 49'ers over the line last week. In fact, Purdy had to stomach the ignominy of a touchdown blank last week, the first time he has done this as a starter.
The defence was once again the star of the show for the 49'ers as they did enough to see 19 points scored a winning score.
The Philadelphia Eagles will be very confident coming into this one after they easily beat the New York Giants last week. After leading early, the Eagles never looked back, with their running game particularly effective.
The Eagles will look to Jalen Hurts in this one, with the quarterback boasting a lot more experience than Purdy. Hurts has been in the league for three years and already has post-season experience to call upon.
With a completition rate of 66.5% this year and around eight yards per pass, Hurts will be key for the Eagles.
All things considered, we are backing the hosts to come out on top in a 23-16 win.
