Premier League Predictions For Matchday 28

Nottingham Forest are in need of wins and points right now as their Premier League status is under serious threat. Forest currently sit two points clear of Bournemouth in 18th, and they have lost three of their last five. With the bottom-half of the table incredibly tight right now, Forest know a loss here could see them slip down the table at an alarming rate. 

Newcastle have been brilliant this season and come into this one on the back of a fine 2-1 win over Wolves. This win saw the Magpies end a run of two defeats in a row in the league and they are now looking to use their two games in hand over Tottenham to move back into fourth in the league. While a draw is a good option in this one, Newcastle are the side to back if you are looking for one side to win. 

Southampton fell to a disappointing 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Brentford in their last match as they saw a two-match unbeaten run come to an end. This loss saw them stay rooted to the bottom of the table, now two points short of safety.

Tottenham arrive on the back of a win over Nottingham Forest that has seen the side keep hold of fourth in the league. However, with Newcastle four points behind but with two games in hand, Spurs have to ensure that they keep winning games, and they are the side to back to do exactly that in this one. 

Chelsea have rekindled some semblance of form after a tough few months in the league. Wins over Leeds and Leicester in the Premier League sandwiched victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, with Chelsea keeping their European dreams alive in stunning style. 

Everton come into this one hoping to make it three games without a loss in the league. A draw with Nottingham Forest was quickly followed by victory over Brentford, and they will hope to play on Chelsea's struggling attack, which has only scored 27 goals in 26 games this season. Despite the Toffees being good at the back, the Blues are the side to back here. 

Arsenal return to the Emirates Stadium this week as they look to move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Victory over Fulham last time out saw the Gunners comfortably beat their high-flying opponents 3-0 in a game that some tipped them to have trouble in. 

Crystal Palace arrive now just three points clear of Bournemouth in 18th. Their horrendous run has seen Palace pick up just six wins in 27 attempts as the pressure continues to build on the side. A defeat in this one looks very likely, and it could see Palace slip even closer to the relegation zone.
