Premier League Predictions

Get the latest betting tips and insight for the biggest matches in the Premier League this week. Predictions include Aston Villa vs Newcastle and West Ham vs Arsenal.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle Predictions

Aston Villa
Draw
Newcastle

Aston Villa arrive for this one on the back of a strong 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest that means they have now won their last four matches in a row. With 47 points from 30 games, Villa are just six points short of Tottenham in their battle for European football.

Newcastle have been enjoying a superb season, and they currently hold third-place in the league ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham. With five wins in a row, the Magpies do not look like they are letting their high-position in the league go to their heads, and they are the favourites to win this one despite being the travelling side.

Chelsea vs Brighton Predictions

Chelsea

Brighton

Chelsea's abysmal season continued last week as they fell to a humiliating 1-0 loss against relegation threatened Wolves. Currently sitting closer to the relegation zone than they are the summit of the league, the Blues need a morale-boosting win in this one ahead of a huge Champions League second-leg against Real Madrid, where they are looking to overturn a 2-0 scoreline.

Brighton have been supreme this year and are another surprising addition in the battle for a European spot. The 46 points they have picked up means they are seven clear of Chelsea in 11th, and they are only seven short of Tottenham in fifth. With a contentious loss to Spurs last week, Brighton will want to leave London this time with three points.

Manchester City vs Leicester Predictions

Leicester

Manchester City gleefully watched on last week as Arsenal let a 2-0 lead slip against Liverpool at Anfield. The 2-2 draw for the Gunners means that City can drag themselves to within three points of the league leaders. Most predict they will take all three points from this one, which is something they have done in their last five league games in a row.

Leicester arrive for this one looking to put in a good performance, with most assuming they will get blown away in this one. They may get a slight reprieve if City decide to rest some of their players ahead of their Champions League second-leg against Bayern Munich, but they are likely to struggle whatever side their hosts field.

West Ham vs Arsenal Predictions

West Ham
Draw
Arsenal
16.11%22.82%61.07%

With two wins in their last three games, West Ham have been able to ease their relegation fears slightly as they have moved three points clear of the bottom-three. While the Hammers have had little to do with the upper-echelon of the league this season, they can throw a spanner in the works if they can take points from Arsenal in this one.

Arsenal will have been disappointed to have let a 2-0 lead slip against Liverpool as they moved six points clear of City have played a game more. Victory in this match is vital as defeat would likely see City move to within three points of the Gunners with a game in hand. Currently unbeaten in the last seven matches between the sides, Arsenal will target getting back to winning ways at the first time of asking.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Predictions

Nottingham Forest
Draw
Manchester United
17.62%23.33%59.16%

Having failed to win any of their last nine league games, Nottingham Forest now find themselves sitting in 18th in the league. While they are only below Everton due to their goal difference, Forest will be all too aware of the precarious situation they find themselves in. Hosting Manchester United in this one is a tough assignment at the best of times.

Manchester United were stunned in midweek as they let a 2-0 lead against Sevilla slip as the Spanish side secured a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford. With injuries to key players, United are in an awkward position in this one as they need to keep picking up points in the league to ensure they finish in the top-four. However, they will also want to have a fresh side to play Sevilla in Spain in the week. Forest could benefit from United's injuries and congested fixture list.

Leeds vs Liverpool Predictions

Leeds
Draw
Liverpool
22.35%22.15%55.50%

Leeds were humiliated in front of their own fans last week as Crystal Palace hammered them in a 5-1 thumping. United went 1-0 up in the game, but they were abject in the second-half as they conceded four goals in the second 45 minutes without responding. This loss means Leeds are just two points ahead of Nottingham Forest in 18th, meaning they desperately need to start winning games.

Liverpool bounced back from going 2-0 down against Arsenal to pick up a point in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield. This draw saw the Reds make it four without a win in the league, and they are now 12 points short of Manchester United in fourth. A win in this one is vital, but Jurgen Klopp's side have hardly been inspiring on the road this year, winning just three of their 15 away games.
